Introduction to Information Systems a course from 2008
Introduction to Information Systems . Last updated 28 April 2008: chapter topics, important due dates and millestones, project information, and IS literature and IS new sites, great for use on projects and hints !
Quite impressive.
Some MIS and IS syllabus examples
Some “MIS and IS syllabus” examples
My own observations:
-
Not all entries are of the same knowledge calibre !
- Some links are from my “directory of bookmarks” hosted by free.fr (deleted now). It covered a wide range of IT&C topics. A page was dedicated to MIS syllabus.

Look at this 1999 syllabus focusing the Introduction in MIS.
As you can see, there are differences between a MIS and an IS syllabus knowledge from year to year. The technology and the computing network evolved dramatically. Each instructor (teacher) should insist on some aspects. It is impossible to cover all aspects. But it is an instructor’s duty to have a complete syllabus accessible to a particular group of students.
